The following is a session presented at the 2010 Preserve Minnesota Conference. Minnesota Main Street re-launched in Spring 2010 to assist communities revitalizing their traditional commercial districts. Four communities were competitively selected to become Designated MN Main Street programs. These communities use the Main Street Four-Point Approach® of Promotion, Design, Economic Restructuring, and Organization to comprehensively improve their downtown districts attracting residents, visitors, and businesses back to Main Street. In this session you’ll learn about how these four points work together while based on a foundation of historic preservation, local self-help, and coordinated volunteers.
