Around the world on a BMW

Filed under: Item of the Day — Jason Onerheim @ 12:01 am

August Jentsch and Wolfram Hanning from Austria stop in Minneapolis on July 8, 1955. They’ve been riding around the world for 2 1/2 years, covering over 80,000 miles. Apparently they were the first people to cross Tierra del Fuego on a motor vehicle. They’re riding a BMW R75 military motorcycle.
