Cow Measure

A cloth tape measure for estimating the weight of a cow. Printed on reverse is “POCKET TAPE FOR ESTIMATING LIVE WEIGHT OF COW/ TO ESTIMATE WEIGHT PLACE TAPE AROUND COW’S BODY DIRECTLY BACK OF FRONT/LEGS OR HEART GIRTH. THE TAPE READING WILL GIVE THE ESTIMATED WEIGHT IN POUNDS./ HANDLE TAPE WITH CARE. DO NOT STRETCH IT, NOR LET IT GET WET” followed by measurements in pounds from 80 to 1975. End of tape printed with “FOR THE MINNESOTA FARMER- STOCK & DAIRY FARMER…MIDLAND BANK BLDG., MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.”.

A photograph of the Minneapolis Lakers basketball team in action on their way to beating the Syracuse Nationals 110-95 in the 6th game of the 1950 NBA finals. This would be the Lakers second of five title wins while in Minneapolis. Apr 23, 1950.
