Beaded Belt

Filed under: Item of the Day — Jason Onerheim @ 12:01 am

An Ojibwe belt spot-beaded with a multicolor floral pattern on one side against a light blue background. It has a frayed green cloth tape border and incorporated into the upper right corner of the beadwork is “Ag / tit i/ li / Dom”, possibly the signature of maker A. G. Titilidom. The belt was purchased in the Leech Lake, Minnesota, area in 1970.
