Security Badge

A World War II-era ID badge for the United States Naval Air Base in Minneapolis, MN. Circa 1942-45. The former Navy air base now houses the Minnesota Air National Guard at MSP International Airport.

An Ojibwe loom-beaded wall hanging featuring floral design. This item was purchased in the area of Leech Lake, Minnesota, from members of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa who would travel south to gather wild rice. Made in the early 1900s.

An oil on canvas painting titled “Red Shirt” made by Minnesota artist Elof Wedin in 1954. Wedin was a Swedish-American artist who worked a day-job installing duct work and insulation for boilers and painted at night and on the weekends.
