Handwritten pass for Thomas Christie to forage – March 14, 1865

A small, handwritten pass advising the guards to allow Thomas D. Christie and others through the lines for the purpose of foraging for the First Minnesota Battery in the field in North Carolina.
A transcription of the pass:

Hd Qrs 1st Minn Battery
In the Field N.C. March 14, 65

Guards & Pickets
Will Pass the Bearer Sergt Thomas D Christie & Six Men until further Orders. they being detailed as regular foragers for the First Minnesota Battery.
