Clear, cool and windy. Blowed very strong last night. River rising rapidly. Regt mustered for pay by Major Losey. [Comdg”] another year at a close[.] Health good, spirits fine. Hope buoyant. To God hear the glory. During the year received 68 letters and wrote 80. One half of each to & from  home, besides official letters. Receipts $871. Paid out $1000.
