Cool morning[.] Clear and pleasant[.] On duty as Regimental Officer of theDay. Shortened my tent, shut it up in the end, and made it much more comfortable[.] Recd. 3 letters[,] one from mother & Bros, one from Lt Talbot, & one from Miss Talbot. Glad to get them[.] Recd. [comy.] clothing from Port Hudson by Capt Whitford[.]
