Tablet-arm chair owned by Bishop Henry Benjamin Whipple, first Episcopalian Bishop of Minnesota, in the late nineteenth century.  The chair is upholstered with brown wool fabric and decorative green upholstery tape.  The tablet features a black leather writing surface.
