Soldier's hand mirror

Glass mirror made in the 1840s and used by Reverend Chauncey Hobart of Red Wing, Minnesota during the Mexican-American War and Civil War.  The mirror is set into a flat wood case with a sliding cover that pivots on a brass pin.
