Gold locket with circular low-relief engraving on both the front and reverse, done in a webbing design.  Includes an attached ring for a chain and a ball push for opening and closing the locket.  The picture on the right is of Minnesota Historical Society co-founder Francis Parkman Bailey; his wife and child are shown at left.  Circa 1850.
