Beaded pincushion

Dakota beaded pincushion

Beaded velvet pincushion with a glazed cotton backing.  The pincushion has scalloped edges and features two beaded birds.  The pincushion is of Iroquois Indian origin but was collected by Dakota Indians living in Minnesota’s Prairie Island Reservation circa 1900.
