Airplane engine

Eight-cylinder, water-cooled Curtiss OX-5 airplane engine.  Manufactured by the Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Corporation in 1918.  A similar engine was used to power Charles Lindbergh’s Curtiss JN-4 “Jenny.”
