US Army officer's field tourniquet

United States Army officer’s field tourniquet and case. The tourniquet is a long stiffened cloth band attached to two curved rectangular metal plates. It is housed in a painted oval tin case. The tourniquet was carried by Captain Otto Dreher of the 3rd Minnesota Regiment, Company A, during the Civil War, 1861 – 1865.
