Klecko, author of  K-9 Nation Biscuit Book,  had his 15 minutes of fame as a guest on Martha Stewart’s Morning Living radio program on the Sirius Radio Network yesterday morning. Klecko noted that Morning Living hosts Kim Fernandez and Betsy Karetnick are “like a mild version” of the Twin Cities’ own Lori & Julia of FM 107! The hosts started off the interview giving him a hard time about the high-end ingredients, but Klecko won them over to caviar and squid ink.  Also, local culinary star, Wayne Kostroski, called in to show his support for his fellow Twin City baker.

Slim & Duke

Klecko, accompanied by his friend Mike Mitchelson, editor of Food Service News , took a walk in Central Park where Klecko gave a copy of his book to two new NYC fans–pit bulls named Slim & Duke.

I would like to point out one detail in the photo to the right. Yes, that is Klecko holding a terrierhe’s partial to terriers. He lives with a couple of them. But, wait, check out his arm.

We all love Klecko here at the press for numerous reasons, which include the yummy treats, both animal and human, that he brings to our offices, but this really takes the cake. That is his book’s 13 digit ISBN tattooed on his arm. Not the wimpy 10 digit one, the 13. True dedication!
